Relationship safety

On this site, relationship safety means conditions where people can think more clearly, notice patterns and act in alignment with their values—without the site claiming to provide therapy or crisis care. The term is used in a wellbeing and ethics sense, not as a clinical label.

How we use the term

Relationship safety is not limited to romantic relationships. Similar dynamics appear in families, friendships, workplaces and wider systems.

Our tools are intended to make dynamics more visible to the user themselves. They are not intended to certify whether another person is “safe” or “unsafe” in a legal or clinical sense.

How this differs from therapy

Therapy and clinical care involve a professional relationship, individualized assessment and regulated responsibilities. Our applications do not provide that relationship and are not intended to replace it.

If you need therapeutic or crisis support, you should seek appropriate qualified services.

How this differs from couples counseling

Couples counseling typically involves joint process work with a professional. Our consumer tools are designed for individual reflection and are not intended to mediate between partners or substitute for couples work.

Where digital reflection fits

Digital reflection can support noticing, journaling and self-regulation between sessions or alongside other support. It is not intended to be the only intervention in acute or high-risk situations.
